Achievements
- Mean weekly rainfall and the probability
of occurence of wet and dry spells for the Bhilwara
region was analysed based on data for
the period 1965-1995.
- Probability of onset and
withdrawal of monsoon rains were estimated as corresponding to
the 26th (CV 35%) and 37th (CV 34%) standard meteorological weeks
respectively.
- Soil water balance was worked out on a
monthly basis and surplus and deficit periods
identified.
- Mustard crop was raised for one
season and observations on phenological events, yield attributes,
length of reproductive phase, aphid infestation were
recorded.
