Achievements

• Climatic characterization of three districts of Jammu plains was carried out with respect to identification of commencement of sowing rains, and assured rainfall probabilities were computed.
   
• Studies on crop-weather relationship of groundnut and mustard crops revealed that groundnut may not fit in the cropping sequence due to erratic rainfall and low temperature occurrence.
   
• A scientific note on "Agrometeorology in relation to apple culture" was brought out reviewing crop weather relationship of apple crop. Bibliography on this topic had been updated.
