Achievements
- Climatic characterization based on daily
rainfall for the period 1964-1996 was completed. Through water balance, PET values
for the corresponding period were
estimated.
- Water requirements of
greengram, blackgram, cotton, sugarcane and banana crops have
beenworked out.
- Population dynamics of key
pests of cotton were studied for 3 years. Correlation of jassids
was significant with minimum temperature and humidity. in case of
bollworm, significant relationship was obtained with bright
sunshine
hours.
