Achievements

• Agroclimatic analysis of the mid-hill region of Himachal Pradesh is in progress. Results showed that Kharif season may experience a single dry spell compared to four dry spells in the rabi season.
   
• Initial and conditional probabilities of wet spells at Palampur indicated higher probabilities of rainfall during the last week of January.
   
• The probability of getting a wet week, a wet week followed by a wet week and wet week followed by dry week increased with the advancement of the monsoon season upto standard week 34, with a decline thereafter.
   
• A crop weather calender has been prepared for maize crop and unit relationship for vegetative and grain filling stages were computed.
