Achievements
- Information on area and yield with reference
to major crops grown in the region and
climatic water balance had been
collected.
- For characterization, monthly/seasonal
rainfall, their variability and probability using incomplete gamma
distribution for Jorhat region
was computed. Weekly climatic water balance and AE/PE
ratios for Jorhat region were
derived.
- For studying crop-weather
relations, one season's field experiment on rice and mustard were
carried out. Phenology, leaf area index, drymatter accumulation,
yield attributes were recorded on three varieties of rice and one
mustard variety with four dates of
sowing.
