Achievements
- Studies on the nature of seasonal
distribution of rainfall was completed in respect of 11 stations
in the hilly region. Rainfall probabilities, water balance, and
moisture adequacy index (MAI) were computed for
the ranichauri station.
- Temperature limits of <17 and >6.6°C
at flowering time were identified as indicative of high in the
plum crop.
- Field experiments on
Amaranthus crop were conducted over a four year period and the
optimum date of sowing to enable the crop to escape low
temperatures during seed setting stage has been identified.
- Influence of weather parameters on
Amaranthus seed yield were
quantified.
